I went in to get my pap smear today and expected the same ol cruddy treatment I got last time. But no I got treated nicely, got to meet my permanent PA (no OB for me), and got to hear a heat beat! I had my 10 week appt. today..Baby looks great! They did a pap, and she said she kinda hit a blood vessel on the outside of my cervix...She said it was ooozing, so she put that mustard looking stuff on it! I know I will be spotting that for a while...Did anyone else have this experience? It totally freaked me out!!

First- I thought I'd share a happy tidbit I found today- "According to most pregnancy statistics, about 20% of miscarriages occur during the 1st trimester of pregnancy. There is a 75% chance of miscarriage in weeks 1-2 of pregnancy, when you do not know you are pregnant. After 8 weeks, the risk miscarriage drops to about 5%"  So yay to that- I'm 8 ( Read more... )

I'm going to my first OB appointment for my pregnancy in a few hours. I called this morning since I was nervous about what to expect and she told me they'd be preforming a PAP. I'm... surprised? I'm only (aroundd) 8 weeks. I thought the PAP would come in a few weeks, perhaps at my next appointment ( Read more... )

I made a post the other day about refusing a pap smear. I was given one in July/August of 2008, which came back normal, as well as this office performed one in June but *lost* the results. I was dropped by my insurance (in the process of fixing that for the last 2-3wks! grr!), so they were going to bill ME for it-- plus, I was offended that the one ( Read more... )

I had a pap done a couple weeks back and I got a call today saying that I had a mild case of dysplasia. Not sure what it is. I have never had an abnormal pap before. They did not seem to worried about it. Has anyone else had this and what is it. Should I be concerned? I did not google it scared to see what it would say. lol
